Note : 1) While A was taken from the “Area occupied by factory sites throughout the national territory” analysis conducted by Statistics Korea, B are statistics taken from the Korea Research Institute for Human Settlements’ industrial sites information network. 2) As the area occupied by factory sites has been excluded from the mining and manufacturing survey since 2004, it is impossible to develop uniform standard statistics with regards to the area occupied by individual sites and planned locations. 3) The calculation of A was based solely on registered factories and as such did not include the area occupied by non-registered individual enterprises. Therefore, the equation B/A found in this table can be regarded as an over-estimation of the ratio of actual planned locations. Nevertheless, such an equation can be used to analyze this particular trend.
