other countries with a relatively high percentage of employment in services (e.g. U.S., U.K., Australia, and Canada). In particular, the U.S. has an employment structure that is quite different from other countries which have a lower percetnage of employment in services(e.g. Korea, Japan, and Mexico) as well as other countries having a high percentage of employment in services(e.g. Sweden and Norway). In the following sections, we will analyze characteristics and determinants of service sector employment through a comparison of Korea, U.S., Japan, and Sweden with important implications proposed.
