Frame of Image  first three phases (Ⅰ-Ⅲ), Canada, the EU and the US had eliminated only 165 (12.9%) of 1,271 products in quantitative restrictions carried over from the MFA. Moreover, these countries had chosen to integrate first those products that either were not under quota, or had highly underutilized quotas (i.e. quota redundancy), or were low-unit-value items. It follows that quota elimination of the first three phases (Ⅰ-Ⅲ) had impacted slightly on the US and EU markets. But, most of the quota figure of the most “sensitive” products had been removed in Phase Ⅳ, January 1, 2005. It follows that the quota elimination of Phase Ⅳ has impacted significantly on the US and EU markets. Particularly, it has impacted on the export structure among major export countries. On the other hand, the new quota imposition of the US against China, during a three year period from 2006 to 2008, is expected to impact on the export structure among major export countries. This paper will examine the impact of the final quota elimination in 2005 as well as the US’s new quotas’ imposition against China on the textile & apparel industry of major exporting countries; it will also present Korea’s
