Abstract
The Strategic Development Partner Country (SDPC) project of the Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP) with Vietnam has been geared towards supporting the formulation and implementation of the country’s 2011~20 Socio-economic Development Strategy (SEDS) on the basis of Korea’s development experience. Since 2009, joint research by Korean and Vietnamese experts on 22 topics contributed to the formulation of the SEDS, which was largely finalized by early 2011. Nevertheless, additional research was still in high demand since more detailed strategies and policy directions were needed in some sectors. Additionally, for better macroeconomic management of the increasingly globalized and complex Vietnamese economy, research and capacity building programs were also called for. (The rest omitted)
