Frame of Image 동남아 경제는 향후 5년간 성장세를 지속할 것으로 나타났다. 2013~17년에 아시아 신흥국은 평균 7.4% 성장할 것으로 전망된다. 그 러 나 아시아 신흥국이 지속적인 성장세를 이어나가기 위해서는 추가적인 정책과제가 필요하다. 동남아 국가간 경제 및 개발격차, 이주 및 송금 문제는 이 지역의 중요한 정책과제 중 하나이다. 한국은 동남아시아에 대한 공적개발원조(ODA)를 확대하는데 있어 CLMV(캄보디아, 라오스, 미얀마, 베트남)에 중점을 두고 다양한 정책과제를 재검토할 필요가 있다. 이는 동남아 국가간 개발격차를 완화시킴으로써 2015년까지 예정된 ASEAN 공동체 형성에 적극 기여하기 위함이다. 이번 컨퍼런스는 OECD가 최근 발간한 전망보고서, KIEP의 동남아 관련 보고서 및 KOICA의 국별지원현황 보고서와 함께 아시아 신흥국의 경제전망 및 주요 정책과제에 대한 논의의 장이 될 것이다. Emerging Asia has shown resilience to the external shocks from the euroarea, slowing growth in the United States. This resilience owes much to strong domestic demand that has cushioned the effects of weakening external demand on aggregate real growth. According to latest edition of the OECD Southeast Asian Economic Outlook 2013 with Perspectives on China and India, Southeast Asian economies will maintain their overall dynamism in the next five years, although China will begin to slow gradually. The growth overall in Emerging Asia is projected to average 7.4% in 2013-2017. However, the region needs to take further action to address key policy challenges to sustain robust growth. Economic disparities and development gaps both within and among Southeast Asian countries as well as issues of migration and remittances represent one of the most important policy tasks in the region.
