Working time institutions influence working condition of workers as well as human resource management in firms. Recent submission of several legislative bills includes amendment of wokring time institutions regarding industrial exemption and holiday and night work. If these bills are passed in the National assembly, the impact on women's employment and working condition is expected to change dramatically in labor market.
We analyzed several data in order to verify the impact of institutional change on women's employment and working condition. Those are “Survey of Working Condition by Employment Status”, “Panel Study of Firms”, and “Time Use Survey” collected by Ministry of Employment and Labor, Korea Labor Institute, and National Statistics Office respectively. In addition, we surveyed 600 firms and 800 workers related to the institutional change. (The rest id omitted)
