Abstract

This study aims to suggest the practical ideas of public policy PR system reform for easing social conflict and enhancing national trust between government and citizens through better communication. This study is related with the last fourth-year program of PR system reform project of Korean government, which intends to suggest the blueprint of new government PR system responding to the beginning of Park Guen-Hye government. This study is conducted consecutively by largely three main parts. The first stage deals with earlier studies and institutions on public policy PR system, which gives basis for making analytical framework for public policy PR system of Korean government with the perspectives of system governance and communication mechanism. The second stage includes a critical issue diagnosis, case studies on both of the foreign PR systems and the public policy PR activities, and the opinion analysis of academic experts, related government officials, and general citizens, which deals with the diverse reforming issues on the future public policy PR system. The last third stage is on suggesting the public policy PR system reform ideas with basic reform directions and concrete institutional alternatives. (The rest omitted)
