Abstract
Asian Development Bank and Thai government agreed with a Technical Assistance Project for performance assessment on infrastructure development. As part of this project, Korea which shows better performance in terms of infrastructure development than Thailand conducts comparative infrastructure development assessment of both countries. The research aims to analyze and assess the historical progress and current status of infrastructure development, specifically in transport, energy and water sectors. It generates some substantial recommendations to help Thailand and other Asian developing countries to establish their own strategies on infrastructure development. Its spatial scope includes primarily Territory of Republic of Korea and the Kingdom of Thailand. And it can reach to more countries in Southeast and Eastern Asia as well. The basic year of the study is 2011. Its findings are expected to influence on ‘the 11th National Development Plan, 2012-2016’ of Thai government. (The rest omitted)
