Energy monetary unit(TOE per million WON) is expected to improve from 0.391 in 2005 to 0.356 in 2010. GDP elasticity of the primary energy consumption is expected to remain below 1 during the forecasted periods. In 2007 to 2008, due mainly to the installment of new bituminous coal power plant, bituminous coal demand is expected to grow at relatively higher rate.
