Frame of Image  countries. Along with Information Technology (IT) and Biotechnology (BT) Environmental Technology (ET) has also become a promising technology of the 21st century. I n fact d e m a n d s for ET have rapidly increased the implementation of environmental regulations in a number of countries due to the expansion of green production and consumption and a closer relationship between the environment and trade. Recognizing these international trends t h e Korean government implemented a s y s t e m a t i c support policy in order to promote environmental industries as a strategy to improve the d o m e s t i c environment and bolster economic development.
