An increase of 10 percent in a country’s digitization score fuels a 0.75 percent growth in its GDP per capita. Digitization creates jobs, with a 10 point increase in the digitization score leading to a 1.02 percent drop in the unemployment rate.

The Impact of digitization also varies across industries in terms of output, productivity, and employment. In terms of industry output and productivity, financial service industry and manufacturing industry have the most profound impact of digitization.
