It was under such unfavorable geo-political and geo-economic environments that Korea has transformed itself from one of the poorest countries in the world into one of the most dynamic industrial economies… u GNI P/C: $ 87(’61) → $23,000(‘12) u Exports: $55 M(’61) → $552 B (‘12) u Unemployment: 22.3%(’61) → 3.2% (‘12)
How has Korea been able to make the transition ? One of the Key factors is science and technology.
