Abstract

With the express purpose of sharing Korea’s successful experience in establishing Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) system and of constructing effective TPO system for long-term development plan of Kazakhstan, the 2014/15 KSP with Kazakhstan I practiced research on the topic “Capacity Building of Kazakhstan’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO): Benchmarking of Korea’s TPO”. Specific areas of the study are as follows: First, Analysis of and Recommendations for Kazakhstan’s Export Promotion Agency and second, Benchmarking of Korea’s TPO System. The first area intends to analyze Kazakhstan’s current export promotion policies and KAZNEX INVEST’s operation system to propose effective management plan and long-term development plan based on Korea’s experience. In addition to broad analysis of and recommendations for KAZNEX INVEST of the first area, the second area aimed to provide specific policy recommendations for KAZNEX INVEST to more effectively carry out its roles and functions through benchmarking KOTRA of Korea.
