Abstract

The work of the Task Force on Trade and Manufactured Goods was carried out by a team of Korean economists associated with the Korea Development Institute in collaboration with an international advisory group of leading experts from the Pacific Basin countries. The objective of the Task Force was two-fold: (1) to analyze the patterns of trade in manufactured goods in the Pacific Basin; and (2) to make a set of recommendations regarding the ways in which in the Pacific Basin countries can work together to promote expansion of trade in manufactured goods in the region as well as in the world at large.
