Abstract

Key Indicators of Developing Asian and Pacific Countries 2002: Population and Human Resource Trends and Challenges is the 33rd edition of this flagship annual statistical data book of ADB.;It presents the latest available economic, financial, social, environmental, and Millennium Development Goals (MDG) indicators for regional members of ADB. Data are grouped under MDG and Regional Tables. Nontechnical explanations and brief analyses of the MDG achievements and economic, financial, social, and environmental developments are included. The 31 regional tables are largely based on a comprehensive set of 38 country tables, each with 18-year data series on;population;labor force and employment;national accounts;production;energy;price indices;money and banking;government finance;external trade;balance of payments;international reserves;exchange rates;external indebtedness;In addition to this comprehensive set of data, there is also a theme chapter that examines the population and human resource trends and challenges in the Asia and Pacific region.
