Abstract

To respond to the hotly debated international issue of global warming, science and technology policy has to address the development and application of low-carbon green technology. This report intends to set up a blue-print on how to utilize national R&D program of green technology. Economic development based on green technology necessarily initiates strategic plan to link green technology with the development of new industry efficiently. Technology and industry are interrelated but it is not an automated process without bottleneck. Based on analysis of current status, this report diagnoses that the scattered research on green technology faces discrepancy between supply and demand. This report argues that the current green technology on re-generation energy and environmentally friendly resource utilization must be streamed into new industry development with spin-off firm creation.
