This paper focuses on the realities of construction claim, factors affecting the occurrence of construction claim by using the Structural Equation Model, and policy recommendations for the claim prevention and management in public works.
Generally a construction claim is defined as demand or assertion by one of the parties seeking, as a matter of right, adjustment or interpretation of Contract terms, payment of money, extension of time or other relief with respect to the terms of the Contract.
Although the importance and role of the construction claim in public works is getting more increased, construction claims have been considered to crate very negative effect in performing construction work.
