Introduction of World Geodetic Reference System was deferred from 2007 to 2010. Although National Geographic Information Institute in Korea takes charge of it, the progress is slow without clear policy alternatives. In this regards, this study aims at suggesting practical measures for introducing World Geodetic Reference System. To do so, first of all, it investigates current uses of reference system of geospatial data in local and central governments. Second, it examines the effects of 3 year deferment of World Geodetic Reference System. Third, it tries to define organizational structure of project execution and roles of participating government departments and agencies. This research consists of 5 chapters, and main contents of each chapters are as follows.
The chapter 1 introduces backgrounds, goals, scopes, methods, and processes of this research. It explains current issues around introducing World Geodetic Reference System. Then it argues the needs for proper solutions and meanings of this research. (The rest omitted)
