The policy paradigm of highways and arterial roads has been changes from mobility to connectivity. There are so insufficient for discussing about the connecting spaces on national road system despite for their importance. On the other hand, a lot of the road stations(mi-chi-no-eki) are opened on the major connecting points of the road cross section in Japan. This road stations are received attention as revitalizing of region and community. And this road stations have three functions, rest, information creating, and regional communication.
So this study has evaluation about IC and major connecting spaces on national road and reviews the adaptation of the road station for revitalization of the connecting spaces on national road system.
In this study, we have a questionnaire survey on the user for toll facilities and surrounding area. And we analyze the user's attribute for toll facilities with GIS tool. Some IC lacking in network connectivity and have severely trouble with in concentration on metropolitan area. (The rest omitted)
