Abstract

Many researches of Human Resource-Oriented Management are agreed on the contribution of the human employments to the profits in companies. In order to appreciate the relationship between employment and profit among Korean Companies, the data of Korean Companies’ performance are put into a statistic analysis model. This model, as an application of Cobb-Dougls production function, is consisted of a dependent variable(profit) and four independent variables, that are, capital factors(per capita assets and per capita sales) and labor factors(employment and fringe benefits). The data are collected from the performance record of KOSPI 200 companies during 2006-08. The observation from this statistic analysis is that employment has positively related to profit, which is appraised through Economic Value Added. This phenomenon, well seen through EVA, means that Korean companies are managed by HROM. Therefore, the government is advised to support HROM for creating more employment in companies.
