Abstract

This study aims to seek ways to improve the ongoing family planning project qualitatively, rather than quantitatively, under the premise that birth control education should continue for the stabilization of population growth.

This study analyzes each area of the family planning project and suggests ways to improve the project. Above all, the family planning subject should aim to improve family welfare, rather than the control of population growth, and provide quality services through voluntary birth control and family health. The service system for voluntary birth control should include the establishment of the birth control distribution system through community organizations and commercial networks, campaigns and promotion of voluntary contraception, clinical tests for new birth control methods and distribution, and follow-up services for the treatment of adverse effects from contraception operation.

The family health project can be carried out in five areas, including quality service for new demands for contraception, prevention of abortion through birth control campaigns, establishment of moral values of sex through sex education, education for the improvement of the capacity to manage family health, and networking with relevant organizations for family health and disease treatment. The family planning project should be developed into a holistic project that encompasses distribution of birth control, birth control campaigns and follow-up management for qualitative improvement of the project, care before and after childbirth, birth control diagnoses, uterine cancer checkups for mother and child health, and medical examinations for chronic and geriatric diseases for family health.
