Abstract

Present paper reviews the current status of anthropological type of research on fertility and family planning in Korea and introduces the major findings from the study, "Social, Cultural and Ecological Factors Affecting Population Processes in Korea", the only full-fledged anthropological research in the field ever conducted in Korea. The study disclosed many new and valuable pieces of information on the fertility behaviour of Korean women in the societal as well as environmental context. (The rest omitted)
