Abstract

This paper reflect on female involvement in the current South Korean political scene, reassessing theoretical contributions in terms of the relationship among gender, politics, and citizenship, as well as the fundamental historical background used to approach the topic. The main purpose is to analyze women’s presence and status in the Korean political sphere throughout 20th century, with a focus on the parliamentary electoral experience.
