Abstract

South Korea and Bangladesh were parallel in terms of economic development at least until the 1950s, if not later. However, the former enjoyed unprecedented economic growth during the latter part of the last century, which has enabled it to join the ranks of richer nations. In contrast, Bangladesh has clearly failed to realize any such noteworthy economic progress. This raises a question: what has enabled South Korea to accelerate its economic growth while Bangladesh fails to do so? (The rest omitted)
