Abstract

Since the late 2000s, Japan has seen increased interest in "social enterprise" and other similar concepts including "social entrepreneurs", "social business”. Practice around the "social enterprise" and "social economy" of Korea gives a number of implications to civil societies in Japan working on social business across the country. How ‘participation’, as a concept beyond the simple social business should be included will be important in thinking of social enterprises. Also, there are many factors to consider in the specific implementation of ‘initial purchase’ and ‘sharing economy’ and adjustment to existing businessmen and law regulations. Furthermore, it is desirable that civil society learns from each other through the exchange of experience and continues to develop social enterprises.
