[Introduction]

UNTCOK was formed in accordance with the resolution of the UN General Assembly on November 14, 1947, after the transfer of the Korean issue to the United Nations.
United Nations Temporary Commission on Korea(UNTCOK), an organization formed by the U.N. to solve problems such as elections in Korea, the formation of the National Assembly, and the establishment of a government, entered South Korea in early 1948 and investigated elections under the resolution of the U.N. General Assembly. Due to the refusal of the Soviet Union, entry into the northern part of the 38th north latitude was denied.
