This study was conducted in order to create basic information for the modularization of support policies for single-parent families, which is part of ‘Korea’s Knowledge Sharing Program’ directed by the Ministry of Strategy and Finance. Chosen as one of the ‘100 Goals’, Korea’s support for single-parent families is a policy that is closely aligned with the objectives of the UN’s Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). This policy has the potential to be an important case study for developing countries as it is a Korean ODA model that has strengths in the breadth it covers and the flexibility it has in responding to social changes. 1.
