우리나라 제조업의 혁신 네트워크에 관한 연구(Innovation networks of manufacturing firms in Korea)

An increasing number of firms have been incorporating external sources and outsourcing a part of their own innovation efforts, which has been theorized as ‘open innovation’. Meanwhile, from the perspective of an innovation system it becomes more important to build networks of nationwide innovation sectors and to maximize the effectiveness of innovation through these networks. In Korea, however, the network among innovation sectors is deemed comparatively weak, despite the remarkable growth in R&D investment and innovation capability. In this context, this study conducts an empirical analysis on Korea’s manufacturing firms to examine which kinds of open innovation activities have taken place during the firm’s innovation process and what impact the external information used in the innovation process has on innovation outcomes. For this analysis, the Korean Innovation Survey(KIS) 2005 and 2008 on the manufacturing sector is used. Its key findings and policy implications are as follows; (The rest omitted)
