This study examines how married immigrant women who are considered as a vulnerable group among groups of women prepare for their old ages and what their expectations are on aged life as a poverty of elderly women are being concerned in a modern society. For this study, we conducted interviews on 17 Vietnam married immigrant women living in Daegu, Korea. As a result, we found out that they have completely no economic preparation for old ages and even their awareness for necessity of preparation for it was very low; however, ironically, they have very high expectation toward an opulent later life and have no worries about poverty in senescence. Married immigrant women live hard lives and are not comfortable financially; therefore, it is hard for them planning for their old ages and practicing them in an orderly way. However, a serious problem is they even do not aware of necessity of preparing for it when lots of young people now prepare for their long old ages in advance in the present day.
