Abstract

This project is a joint consulting project, conducted by the Government of the Republic of Korea and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), which complements ADB’s technical assistance project, “Strengthening Support for the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Financial Regulators Training Initiative (APEC FRTI).” The APEC FRTI is a training program for financial regulators and supervisors from Asia-Pacific countries to establish effective financial regulatory and supervisory regimes and build more stable financial markets in the region. The APEC FRTI aims to enhance the capabilities of financial regulators and supervisors in the Asia-Pacific region to respond effectively to newly emerging issues in the rapidly changing financial landscape after the global financial crisis in 2008.
